During the complete renovation of the building, numerous measures were implemented to improve energy efficiency and achieve a contemporary architectural appearance. Instead of the specified post-and-beam construction, a so-called window façade with insulated frame posts was chosen, which from the outside resembles a post-and-beam structure. In the parapet area, appropriately thick thermal insulation was installed between the window constructions. Thanks to the chosen construction method and other interior measures, the potential annual savings in energy costs is at least 25 percent. The renovation was carried out while the building remained fully operational.
