Pical Resort, Poreč – Croatia’s largest tourism project and a showcase of sustainability in practice, creating long-term value.

For WICONA, Pical Resort is a key new reference demonstrating how sustainable system solutions based on Hydro CIRCAL® aluminium meet the most demanding technical requirements of investors and designers.

WICONA collaborated with three joinery manufacturers, highlighting the importance of expert technical support, compatible solutions and coordination throughout every project phase.

The resort comprises three complementary hotel concepts tailored to different guest needs: Pical Hotel, Pical Suites and Pical Family.

WICSLIDE 160 lift-and-slide balcony doors were installed in all 514 rooms and suites, making this the most widely used WICONA system at the resort.

WICTEC 60 NG inclined glass façade defines the Parenzana restaurant in Pical Suites, the resort’s most luxurious section. It creates a spacious, airy and light-filled interior, including its deepest areas. Excellent thermal performance ensures guest comfort, while corrosion- and weather-resistant aluminium profiles provide durability with minimal maintenance—essential in a coastal environment. The system’s flexibility allows easy adaptation to specific project requirements.

WICTEC 50 curtain walling was used for entrance portals, ground-floor façades and poolside areas. One of WICONA’s most versatile systems, it offers extensive design flexibility through multiple configurations and extensions, achievable with minimal additions to the base system and no compromise on aesthetics.

WICSTYLE 65 evo aluminium doors were installed mainly as external entrances in ground-floor and terrace areas. Designed for frequent use, they accommodate single or double leaves, inward or outward opening, and optional drop-down thresholds.

WICLINE 65 evo aluminium window systems were selected for corridor glazing, installed as continuous window bands. With a construction depth of just 65 mm, they provide stability, reliability, and effective thermal and acoustic insulation.
