A mixed-use complex redefining urban harmony in the heart of Lille

Located in the heart of Lille, this modern complex is the result of a mixed-use development led by Partenord Habitat. Spanning 14,600 m², it accommodates around 50 rental housing units, retail spaces, offices including the social housing provider’s headquarters and parking areas, making the project a flagship example of urban renewal.

WICONA solutions met the challenge of harmoniously combining these five distinct components. The use of window frames from the WICLINE 75 evo range made it possible to adapt to the architectural rhythm specific to each function. For the Partenord Habitat headquarters, based on a 2.70 meters structural grid, the frames measure 1.70 meters wide by 2.60 meters high, integrating a 55 cm-wide opening sash and glazed balustrades on the façades. For the leased office spaces, the opening sash is paired with a glazed spandrel panel. On the residential side, where the grid is wider, windows alternate with French doors equipped with roller shutters. Two custom-designed profiles were developed to secure large dimensions and enhance insulation performance, ensuring a high-energy-performance construction certified with the E2C1 label. Finally, the MECANO curtain wall system with continuous mullions used on the more urban façades opens up key areas such as the office reception hall, the top-floor boardroom, and the company restaurant.
