Steel or Wood framed curtain wall

In certain cases, it is aesthetically or structurally beneficial to design a curtain wall with supporting structures made from wood or steel. WICTEC 50A is a mounting option which makes it possible to directly install the glazing on such supporting structures. WICTEC offers a free choice of supporting material – aluminium, wood or steel – using the same glazing technology and creating an identical outer appearance.

WICTEC 50A - Steel or Wood Framed Curtain walling

All construction projects, whether new builds or renovation are unique. As a result, specific needs and requirements are commonplace. For some, considering the design of a curtain wall with load-bearing structures in wood or steel can be advantageous both in terms of construction and aesthetics. The WICTEC 50A Aluminium Curtain Wall range offers all construction professionals an aesthetically pleasing solution that is easy to set up. WICTEC 50A is based on an assembly system that allows the glazing to be directly installed on supporting steel and wood supporting structures depending on the needs of the project. When seen from the outside, the building displays a look identical to the standard curtain wall range since it uses the same glazing technology. Screws can also be visible or hidden to match the creative needs of builders as closely as possible. By combining the advantages of aluminium with wood or steel, the WICTEC 50A facade from WICONA is illustrated by a high-performance thermal insulation meeting the requirements of low energy consumption buildings.
