As system designer, profile manufacturer and specialist in engineered solutions, WICONA is renowned for its high standard of reliability, performance, durability and recycling. We buy advertising space directly or via our agents (communication consultancies) to promote our business and offers on third party sites/applications, by means of advertising content (text, graphics, animation, videos, etc.) broadcast by these sites/applications.
This section is devoted to our Privacy Protection Policy to give you insight into the origin and use of information processed when you access this site via our advertising content. The section also informs you of your rights. Consequently, this Policy is important in order for you, to have a positive experience of our offers and services in which you can be confident, and it is important for us, in order to answer your questions accurately and fully concerning use of your navigation data collected via our advertising and to take your wishes into account.
When our advertising content is displayed, data relating to your terminal’s browsing (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.) may be recorded in "Cookie" files installed on your terminal, depending on the choice you made concerning cookies and which you may modify at any time.
II. What are cookies issued on this website used for?
Only the cookie issuer may read or modify data contained in the cookies.III. The cookies we issue on our website
When you connect to our website, we may, depending on your choices, install various cookies in your terminal which enable us to recognise the web browser during the period of validity of the cookie in question. The cookies we issue are determined by the parameters of your browser software used when you visit our site.
There are two types of cookies on Wicona websites: "session" cookies and "persistent" cookies. The "session" cookies remain temporarily in your PC and disappear when you leave the site. A "persistent" cookie lasts for a longer period, or until you delete it manually (the length of time the cookie stays on your terminal depends on its "lifetime" and your browser’s parameters). The pages you visit may also collect data via ‘pixel tags’ (also known as ‘clear gifs’), shared with third parties which directly support our promotional operations and development of our sites. For example, the statistics for access to Wicona sites by visitors may be communicated to our external partners to enhance targeting of our Internet site advertising campaigns. This data does not, however, make it possible for you to be identified individually, although they may be linked to your personal data.
The cookies we issue enable us to: establish statistics and volumes of traffic and usage of the various items making up our site (sections and contents visited, routes); heighten interest and user-friendliness of our services; adapt the presentation of our website to your terminal’s preferred way of displaying (language used, display resolution, operating system, etc…) when you visit our site, in accordance with the hardware and display or reading software which your terminal uses; memorise data relating to a form you have filled in on our site (registration or access to your account) or to products, services or information you have chosen on our site (subscribed service, downloading etc.); enable you to access reserved and personal areas on our website, such as your account, thanks to logins or data which you may previously have communicated to us; implement security measures, e.g. when you are requested to connect again to a content or service after a certain lapse of time.
a. As a result of third party applications integrated into our site
We may include computer applications on our site from third parties which enable you to share the contents of our Site with other people or inform them of your consultation or opinion concerning content on our site. Such is the case in particular with "Share" or "I like" buttons on social networks such as "Facebook" "Twitter", LinkedIn", "Viadeo" etc.
The social network providing such an application button may identify you through this button, even if you have not used it when consulting our site. This type of application button may enable the social network in question to follow your browsing on our site by the sole fact that your account on the social network concerned was activated on your terminal (open session) during the time you were browsing on our site.
We have no control over the process used by social networks to collect data relating to your browsing on our site and associated with the personal data they have. We invite you to consult the privacy protection policies of these social networks in order to be aware of the purposes of usage, in particular advertising, of the browser data they may collect via such application buttons. These protection policies should in particular enable you exercise your choices with regard to these social networks, in particular by setting your user accounts for each of these networks.
V. Your choices with regard to cookies
You may at any time express and modify your desires with regard to cookies by the following means.
VI. The choices you are offered by your browser software
You may configure your browser software in such a way that cookies are recorded in your terminal or, on the contrary, rejected, either systematically or depending on the issuer. You may also configure your browser software in such a way that accepting or refusing cookies may occasionally be proposed before a cookie is liable to be recorded in your terminal. For further information, consult the section "How to exercise your choice, depending on the browser you use."
a. Agreeing to Cookies
Recording a cookie in a terminal is essentially subject to what the Terminal’s user wishes, and the latter may express or modify such wish at any time and free of charge via the choices offered by his/her browser software.
If you have accepted that cookies may be recorded in your terminal via your browser software, the cookies integrated into the pages and contents which you have consulted may be temporarily stored in a dedicated area of your terminal, where they may be read solely by the issuer.
b. Refusing Cookies
If needs be, we decline all responsibility for consequences linked to the damaged operating modes of our services resulting from the impossibility for us to record or consult cookies needed for such services to operate and which you have refused or deleted.
b. How to exercise your choices, depending on the browser you use
To manage cookies and your choices, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in your browser’s help menu which will enable you to know how to modify what you wish with regard to cookies.

VII. "Adobe Flash Player"™ "Flash"© cookies
"Adobe Flash Player"™ is an IT application which enables rapid development of dynamic contents using the "Flash" computer language. Flash (as well as applications of the same type) memorizes the parameters, preferences and use of these contents via technology similar to that of cookies. However, "Adobe Flash Player"™ manages this data and your choices via a different interface from that provided by your browser software.
Insofar as your terminal is able to visualise contents using Flash language, we would invite you to go to your Flash cookies management tool, directly from the http://www.adobe.com/fr/ site.
VIII. Your choices expressed online with interprofessional platforms
You can connect to the Youronlinechoices site, proposed by professionals in digital advertising within the EDAA (European Digital Advertising Alliance) European organisation managed in France by Interactive Advertising Bureau France.
In this way you can be informed of the companies registered on this platform and which offer you the possibility of refusing or accepting the cookies used by these companies to adapt advertising likely to be displayed on your terminal to your browser data: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/fr/controler-ses-cookies/.
This European platform is shared by hundreds of advertising professionals on Internet and constitutes a centralised interface which enables you to express your refusal or acceptance of cookies likely to be used so as to adapt advertising likely to be displayed to your terminal browser. Note that this procedure will not prevent advertising from being displayed on the Internet sites you visit. It will only block those technologies which make it possible to adapt advertising to your centres of interest.
IX. What is the purpose of cookies which accompany our advertising contents diffused by third parties?
When you access a site/application containing advertising spaces which diffuse one of our advertisements, this advertisement is likely to contain a cookie. Subject to your choices, this cookie is likely to be recorded in your terminal and enable us to recognise the browser of your terminal during the period of validity of the cookie in question. Cookies integrated into our advertisements diffused by third parties are used and result from parameters of your browser software used when you visited our site.
If your terminal has allowed them to be recorded, the Cookies we issue enable us, according to your choices, to: count the number of displays and activations of our advertising contents diffused on third party sites/applications, identify these contents and sites/applications, determine the number of users who have clicked on each content; calculate the amounts due to those involved in the advertising diffusion chain (communication agency, advertising department, diffusion site/medium) and establish statistics; adapt the presentation of the website to which one of our advertising contents leads; according to your terminal’s display preferences (language used, display resolution, operating system, etc.) when you visit our site and in accordance with the hardware and display or reading software which your terminal uses; depending on location data (longitude and latitude) which are transmitted to us (or our service providers) by your terminal with your prior agreement; follow future browsing carried out by your terminal on sites/applications or other advertising contents.
X. What is the interest in having advertising displayed adapted to your browser?
Our aim is to present you with the most relevant possible advertisements. To this end, cookie technology makes it possible to determine in real time what advertisement to display on a terminal, depending on its recent browsing on one or several sites or applications.
Your interest in advertising content which is displayed on your terminal when you consult a website or application, often determines its advertising resources, enabling services to be exploited, and is often provided to users free of charge. You doubtless prefer advertising to be displayed which corresponds to your interests rather than advertising that is of no interest to you. Similarly, advertisers who wish to see their advertisements diffused are interested in their offers being displayed to users who are likely to be those most interested by such advertising.
XI. If you share your terminal with other people
If your terminal is used by several people and the same terminal has several browser softwares, we cannot be certain that the services and advertising for your terminal actually correspond to your own use of the terminal and not that of another of the terminal’s users.
If needs be, sharing your terminal with others and configuring your browser parameters with regard to cookies are up to you.
XII. What is the purpose of cookies integrated in the advertising spaces we operate?
When you access a site/application containing advertising spaces we operate, these are likely to contain a cookie which we issue. Subject to your choices, this cookie is likely to be recorded in your terminal and enable us to recognize the browser of your terminal during the period of validity of the cookie in question. The cookies we integrate into the advertising spaces we operate are used and result from parameters of your browser software used when you visited the site/application whose advertising spaces we operate which you can express to us at any time, via an icon or hypertext link accessible from the advertising spaces we publish.
If your terminal has allowed them to be recorded, the cookies we issue enable us to: count the number of displays and activations of advertising contents diffused via the advertising spaces we operate, identify the advertiser who is the source of such content, determine the number of users who clicked on each content; calculate the amount due by the advertiser of an advertising content to those involved in the chain of advertising diffusion (communication agency, advertising department, diffusion site/medium) and establish statistics; adapt the presentation of advertising contents accessible via the advertising spaces we operate; according to your terminal’s display preferences (language used, display resolution, operating system, etc.) and in accordance with the hardware and display or reading software which your terminal uses; depending on location data (longitude and latitude) which are transmitted to us (or our service providers) by your terminal with your prior agreement; adapt advertising contents displayed on your terminal, to the previous browsing of your terminal on third party sites where we also issue cookies, subject to the choices you have made with regard to the cookies we issue; adapt advertising contents displayed on your terminal, to future browsing carried out by your terminal on sites/applications where we operate cookies.
XIII. Personal data and browsing information
We may adapt offers and advertisements intended for you to information relating to browsing of your terminal on our website or on sites or services published by third parties and on which we issue cookies.
If you have provided us with personal data concerning you, in particular electronic contact details, during your registration or your access to one of our services, we may, subject to your choices, associate browsing information relating to your terminal, processed by cookies we issue, with your personal data so as to send you, for example, electronic prospection offers or display on your terminal, in advertising spaces containing cookies we issue, personalized advertisements which are specifically aimed at you and liable to interest you personally.
You may at any moment ask not to receive any more advertisements or prospective offers adapted to your terminal’s browsing information by contacting us directly and free of charge, or via the unsubscribe link included in all prospection we may mail to you. Unless you oppose such by contacting us, advertising you may continue to receive will no longer be adapted to your terminal’s browsing.
In addition, if we envisage obtaining from a third party (targeted advertising service provider, advertising department, etc.), browsing information of your terminal which we may associate with personal data you have provided us, we would request your prior explicit consent before carrying out any such association and sending you consequent advertisements or prospective offers.
Your explicit consent might consist in ticking a box proposed on our services to which you have subscribed, such as "I would like to see advertising displayed or receive advertising adapted to my browsing as noted by partners of WICONA".
