CE Marking for Windows and Doors

Since the first of February 2010 the CE marking for windows and doors according to product standard EN 14351-1 is obligatory. No problem with WICONA! Certified systems with ift- product pass, seminars for your employees, support during the handling and lots of tips for the assembling in the workshop.

The duty for the CE marking is nothing new:
In the end of 1988 the Council of the European Union has already decreeded the „building products directive (Directive 89/106/EEC)” with the target to regulate the manufacturing, commercialisation and use of building products consistently. One of the consequences of the implementation of this directive is the duty of marking with the CE-symbol.

The product standard EN 14351-1 for windows and doors was already published in July 2006. According to a notice in the European official register, the CE- marking is possible since February 2007. After a 36-months phase of coexistence, it is obligatory since the first of February 2010.

For assembling WICONA aluminium profile systems the required certificate means no change. All systems are already certified according to the product standard and since the first of February 2007 all window manufacturers have had the possibility of marking with the CE- symbol.

WICONA supports you during the implementation of the product standard:

  • ift- product passes, samples, forms for factory production control and declarations of conformity for WICONA products you can find on www.wictip.de
