Økern Portal chooses element facades of recycled aluminum

Økern Portal in Oslo chooses WICTEC EL evo element facades manufactured from recycled "end of life" aluminum with one of the lowest carbon footprints in the world.

In one of the largest development projects in Norway, Økern Portal, the builder will use Hydros Circal 75R aluminum as a façade material in his new office building. At least 75 percent of aluminum in Circal 75R is recycled metal that has previously been used in other products.

- Our customers in the construction industry are really focused on sustainability. They want materials and solutions that can help them meet their sustainable goals. With Hydro Circal 75R, we give aluminum a carbon footprint that fits well with the most demanding requirements for sustainability, says Egil Hogna, Executive Vice President for Extruded Solutions.
