Turning ideas into reality

At WICONA, we believe in building beyond tomorrow.

Setting industry-leading standards by working towards a circular economy, WICONA provides sustainable aluminium solutions for windows, doors and facades for world-class buildings, globally. United in taking a sustainable approach to everything it does, WICONA’s new solutions contain at least 75% recycled and 95% recyclable material¹ – reducing the material impact on a building’s lifecycle.

Working alongside developers, architects and fabricators worldwide to achieve complex yet realistic building envelope concepts for people and the environment, WICONA is synonymous with specialist know-how and products that meet high technological standards, rigorous system requirements and certified quality.

Reconciling user comfort with environmental requirements is what motivates and drives us daily to develop energy-efficient aluminium system solutions for sustainable building envelopes. In fact, numerous WICONA projects around the world have been awarded internationally recognized certificates for sustainable construction, such as DGNB, LEED or BREEAM.

Over 70 years’ experience

All activities in the areas of research, development, marketing, sales and services are coordinated at the headquarters in Ulm over 70 years, it has grown from what was once a small business into a brand that stands for highly specialized know-how and technical competence in aluminium system solutions.

Innovation is integral to WICONA and with unmatched capabilities in R&D the company is always pushing the dimensional and performance limits of building systems as well as ensuring increased productivity for customers and reduced environmental impact.

Every detail counts at WICONA from comprehensive consultation and planning at the specification stage to providing the perfect processing material and rapid supply, all backed by active technical and digital support right through to installation and beyond. At WICONA, we are convinced that there should be no limits placed on modern architecture. ¹ By using our recycled and low-carbon aluminium Hydro CIRCAL which has one of the smallest CO2 footprints worldwide: 2.3 kg CO2 per kilo of aluminium – compared to the average CO2 emissions of aluminium used in Europe (8.6 kg of CO2 per kilo of aluminium – European Aluminium Association study, 2018); and by using recycled polyamide for our thermal insulation strips – compared with the insulation strips previously used, made of conventional polyamide 6.6; glazing is not included in the calculation
