Congress and trade fair for sustainable building in Stuttgart

Sustainable building is a hot topic at the moment. This is underlined by the interest in Consense – the International Congress and Trade Fair for Sustainable Building – to be held on 23 and 24 June 2009 in Stuttgart. A full two months ahead of the event, a large number of visitors, congress participants and exhibitors have already registered their attendance. This unique industry gathering will be staged at Messe Stuttgart (the new Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre adjacent to Stuttgart Airport) and hosted by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and Messe Stuttgart itself.

Anyone who wants to learn more about the German seal of quality for sustainable building will be in the right place in Stuttgart this June. Participants will have an opportunity to learn more about the DGNB in a series of workshops. This will include information on training auditors, and on the new working groups, which have now begun work certifying further types of building and urban areas – including residential and existing buildings, commercial and industrial properties and the creation of new urban areas. Participants in these workshops will have the opportunity to discuss and develop their knowledge of individual specialist areas in an intensive dialogue with the experts.

Hydro Building Systems Germany is a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). We will be present at the trade fair with our own stand.
